Frequently Asked Questions
Therapy
Who can apply for therapy?
Adults above the age of 18 are welcome at my practice.
Do I need a referral?
Referrals are not needed to start therapy. However, an initial session is needed to determine whether I am the right fit for you and can help you effectively.
How often do I need to attend sessions?
To ensure progress and commitment, sessions are held weekly at the start of therapy. This is also to establish our therapeutic alliance and build trust. As progress continues, sessions may shift to a bi-weekly schedule, tailored to your individual needs, to maintain balanced support as you advance.
What can I talk about during therapy?
The therapeutic space is a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where you are free to discuss anything that matters to you. My role is to support you through your challenges, and judgment is never part of that process.
While we will work on the issues you bring to therapy, I may also suggest exploring other areas that I believe could be relevant to your growth. The therapeutic relationship is a key part of this journey, which is why I emphasize transparency and sincerity in our work together.
If you’re unsure of what to discuss during sessions, know that this is completely normal. For some, it takes time to express and process emotions, and discovering the core issues is part of the therapeutic process. I am experienced in guiding and supporting you through this exploration.
Planning Sessions
How can I schedule a session?
You can schedule a session by reaching out to me over email, Whatsapp, or by submitting the contact form. You can also immediately schedule a call for a time that is most convenient to you.
What can I expect as a new client?
New clients typically begin with 4 initial sessions. During this time, we will get to know each other and establish therapeutic goals. These sessions help ensure a strong start to the therapeutic process, foster a solid therapeutic alliance, and build momentum for future work.
Cancellations
Am I eligible for a refund after paying for the first session?
If you need to reschedule or cancel your first session, I kindly ask that you do so at least 36 hours in advance. Cancellations made up to 36 hours before the session are eligible for a refund. This policy is in place because your time slot has been specifically reserved for you, and late changes make it difficult to offer that time to others in need of support.
Will I be charged for cancelled sessions as an existing client?
If you cancel a scheduled session at least 36 hours in advance, you will not be charged. Cancellations made less than 36 hours before the session will be charged in full and reflected on your monthly invoice.
Complaints
Do you have any questions, concerns, or complaints about my services?
If you have any concerns about my services, I encourage you to share them with me directly. I am always open to arranging a separate, free-of-charge appointment to discuss your concerns. Alternatively, you can submit a written complaint to nora.hadi.psyc@gmail.com.
What can I do if I am not satisfied with the solution I was given?
If you are dissatisfied with my solution, you can file a possible complaint with the Central Bureau for Complaints Management in Healthcare (CBKZ) via klachten@cbkz.nl or by registered mail: CBKZ, Antwoordnummer 570, 4200 WB Gorinchem. Complaints can be filed digitally using the complaint form.
